Анотація

У статті детерміновано вплив фінансово-економічної безпеки банку на безпеку фінансового сектору та країни вцілому. Узагальнено підходи до визначення поняття «фінансово-економічна безпека банку» та запропоновано власне бачення даної категорії. Проведено аналіз сучасного стану банківського сегменту у розрізі кредитного ризику та ризиків достатності капіталу, ліквідності і прибутковості. Виділено зовнішні та внутрішні загрози фінансово-економічної безпеки банківських установ та запропоновано шляхи їх мінімізації.

FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC SECURITY OF BANKING INSTITUTIONS: THREATS AND WAYS TO MINIMIZE THEM

English abstract

The article determines the impact of the bank's financial and economic security on the security of the financial sector and the country as a whole. The security of the banking system depends on the financial security of individual banking institutions. At the same time, the problems which face the single bank lead to the banking crisis of the whole system. Conversely, the destructive impact of the instability of the banking segment reflects the activity of the individual bank. The approaches to defining the concept of «financial and economic security of the bank» were generalized and, due to this, we can determine this category as a dynamic state, characterized by a balance and resistance to the external and internal threats, efficiency of organization and allocation of resources for ensuring sustainable development. The analysis of the current state of the banking segment in the context of credit risk and risks of capital adequacy, liquidity, and profitability was made. External and internal threats to the financial and economic security of banking institutions are highlighted and ways to minimize them are proposed. It is emphasized that internal threats are unique to the individual banking institution and they can be controlled and minimized. While external threats are inherent in the institutional environment and practically independent of the efforts of the individual participant in the banking system. At the same time, this system should develop and constantly adapt to the changes of the external and internal environment to increase the efficiency of functioning of the banking sector, which determines the stability of the financial system of the country and creates opportunities for growth of the national economy.
