Анотація

Узагальнено зв’язки ІТ з іншими складовими ринку технологій, медіа та комунікацій. Проаналізовано результати використання ІТ-навичок населення України через цифрові платформи. Виявлено, що найактивнішими користувачами є люди віком 26-40 років. Доведено, що оволодіння цифровими навичками може зменшити регіональні диспропорції можливостей зайнятості та суттєву диференціацію доходів зайнятого населення, що характерно для традиційної економіки. На основі власного опитування встановлено, що поки що у групі населення старшого віку (батьки студентів) домінуючим фактором високих заробітків та життєвого успіху загалом є загальний рівень володіння інформаційно-комунікаційними технологіями, а не виключно цифрові навички.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES AS A MODERN DETERMINANT OF EMPLOYMENT

English abstract

Links of IT with other components of the market of technology, media and communications are generalized. The results of Ukrainian population IT skills using through digital platforms are analyzed. The most active users are those aged 26-40, mainly men. It has been proven that effective usage of digital skills can reduce regional disparities in employment opportunities and significant income differences of the employed population, which is typical of the traditional economy. At the same time, level of remuneration for the distance work via digital platforms is essentially higher. The earnings are significantly higher for employed with a certain experience and they are depending on the type of customers (Ukrainian or foreign). To identify the level of digital skills and overall level of ICT skills we designed and done own sociological review. Two groups of respondents were interviewed. Aiming to investigate the influence of certain factors on results in form of level of earnings and life success, in this study we present the results only for one group – students’ parents, keeping in mind that they have necessary experience of employment, including labour places with digital skills use requirements. Based on obtained results of our survey, it has been found that in the group of students’ parents, the overall level of information and communication technology is the dominant factor of higher earnings and life success, but not only digital skills, as it was expected. Such result together with obvious positive effects of digital skills development and use, proved by experience of succeed individuals and enterprises, are the evidence of a growing need for improvement of IT competencies of all representatives of Ukrainian labour market.
