Анотація

У статті розглянуто стилістичні, композиційно-планувальні та об’ємно-просторові особливості пам’ятки архітектури та садово-паркового мистецтва місцевого значення – садиби Бахметьєвих-Протасових у селі Тиманівка Тульчинського району Вінницької області. З’ясовано, що на вибір стилістики будівлі палацу значний вплив мали ідеї західноєвропейської романтичної філософії, що у другій пол. XIX ст. набули поширення й на території Російської імперії, до складу якої входили землі історичного Поділля. Детально проаналізовано етапи будівництва палацу та стан його збереженості. Архітектурний образ палацу поєднує у собі елементи англійської готики, російського візерункового стилю та модерну.

ARCHITECTURE OF THE BAKHMETIEV-PROTASOV NEO-GOTHIC PALACE IN THE VILLAGE TYMANIVKA, VINNITSA REGION

English abstract

This article describes the stylistic, compositional-planning and spatial peculiarities of the architectural monument and landscape art of local significance – the Bakhmetiev-Protasov palace in the village Tymanivka, Tulchyn district, Vinnitsa region. The factors that influenced the choice of style of the palace building are defined. Among the key factors – the spread of ideas of Western European romantic philosophy, which also gained popularity in the 2nd half of XIX century in the Russian Empire; a strong interest in English literature; the introductory trips of architects to the countries of Western Europe; the spread of Freemasonry among the nobility; the idealization of the Middle Ages and the desire to create the illusion of a journey into the different countries’ past. Architectural image of the palace combines elements of English Gothic, Russian patterned style and modernism. Planning scheme of the main building of the complex is of a mixed type: enfilade in combination with the corridor. The palace building consisted of two buildings - the main, partly two-story, and the one-story wing. The main facade is oriented to the South. The main entrance to the palace is accentuated by a porch with 8 cast iron columns and is covered by a folding roof with a small pediment. Dynamism of volume of the building is achieved by alternating volumes of different heights. The dominant position was occupied by a two-story volume, topped by an attic with a triangular gable. The wing had a similar solution. The palace building was covered by pointed roofs with a spire. The Gothic motive was utilized as the solution for the palace interior. The palace complex was located on the outskirts of the built-up area. It comprised the palace, the park and the household buildings. The stages of construction of the palace are analyzed in detail and the state of its preservation is determined. The palace has been preserved in a dilapidated condition to this day and needs immediate repairs.
