Анотація

У статті проведено аналіз форматів для довгострокового зберігання файлів 3D-моделей будівель та об’єктів культурної спадщини, отриманих шляхом технологій тривимірного (3D) сканування, а також фотограмметричних методів для їх збереження та відновлення в майбутньому. Запропоновано впровадження стандартизованого формата файлу для зберігання і використання цих даних.

MODERN PROBLEMS OF ARCHITECTURE: PRESERVATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE OBJECTS 3D MODELS IN LIBRARY DIGITAL ARCHIVES OF UKRAINE

English abstract

The article provides an analysis of various file formats for long- term storage of 3D models of buildings and cultural heritage objects. The technologies of three-dimensional (3D) scanning and photogrammetric methods used to obtain these models are examined. The focus is primarily on the issues of data preservation and restoration in the future. The analysis of file formats includes an overview of their advantages and disadvantages, support for geometric and texture data, compression, scalability, and compatibility with different software systems. To ensure a unified and standardized system for data storage and utilization, the implementation of a specialized file format is proposed. This standardized format will facilitate convenient and efficient data exchange between different software systems and ensure their long-term preservation and restoration. The article also formulates research tasks aimed at finding a universal solution for preserving digital information about 3D models in the long term. An important aspect is the ability to update data in digital archives and import/export them into computer-aided design (CAD) software programs. Based on the conducted analysis and research, a concept of a national digital repository in Ukraine is proposed, which includes a system of standards for representing digital objects and metadata. This repository will serve as a single point of access to all digital resources and will have a specialized module for distributed loading of digital resources through a web interface. The obtained research results are of great significance to the fields of architecture, cultural heritage, and other related domains involved in the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage objects. The development and use of a standardized file format will enhance data exchange, collaboration among different organizations, and provide convenient access to digital resources. Furthermore, the implementation of a national digital repository will contribute to the preservation and popularization of cultural heritage, as well as foster growth in scientific research and education.
