Анотація

В статті подано аналіз деяких сучасних скульптур як елемента міського середовища. Визначено основні функції скульптури як елемента міської забудови. Розглянуто локації, де розміщення сучасної скульптури є доречним. Подано зображення найбільш відомих сучасних скульптур, які мають естетичну та мотивуючу функцію, а також такі, що мають сакральний сенс. Визначено основні види впливу сучасної скульптури на психологічний стан людей.

MOTIVATING SCULPTURES AS AN ELEMENT OF THE URBAN ENVIRONMENT

English abstract

The role of modern urban sculpture in the formation of urban space and its influence on the social, cultural and aesthetic components of the urban environment is investigated. It is noted that the beginning of the 20th century was marked by the birth of avant garde ideas, which was also reflected in sculptural art. The article presents an analysis of some modern sculptures as an element of the urban environment. The main functions of sculpture as an element of urban development are determined. Locations where the placement of modern sculpture is appropriate are considered. Images of the most famous modern sculptures are presented, which have an aesthetic and motivating function, as well as those that have a sacred meaning. The main types of influence of modern sculpture on the psychological and mental state of people are identified. Modern urban sculpture not only performs a decorative function, but also contributes to the spiritual enrichment of society, creates meanings, and shapes the special emotional mood of the city. The main trends in the development of street sculpture are considered, including the influence of architecture on its form and style. It is shown that sculptures can carry sacred, social, or psychological meaning, stimulating reflection and interaction with citizens. Examples of iconic urban sculptures are given, such as the "Generous Cat" in Cherkasy, which performs a charitable function, the monument to the "Nursing Bull" in Berdіansk, which preserves historical memory, and the composition "Transition 1977–2005" in Wroclaw, which reflects political changes in Poland. The importance of integrating sculpture into the urban environment, taking into account aesthetic norms and modern urban strategies, is emphasized. Key locations have been identified for placing sculptures that harmoniously blend with the architecture and provide emotional interaction with the space. It is concluded that urban sculpture is not only an important element of art, but also a tool of social communication, which contributes to the harmonization of urban space and the creation of a unique identity of the city.
