Анотація

У статті запропоновано методичний підхід до інтегральної оцінки внеску органічного виробництва у досягнення Цілей сталого розвитку на основі системи показників та інтегрального індексу. Проведено оцінювання впливу органічного виробництва на ключові Цілі сталого розвитку, зокрема у сферах продовольчої безпеки, охорони здоров’я, водних ресурсів, сталого виробництва, клімату та екосистем. Встановлено, що інтегральний показник становить 2,83, що свідчить про високий рівень впливу. Найбільш значущий ефект спостерігається у підвищенні якості продукції, зниженні екологічного навантаження та збереженні біорізноманіття. Доведено ефективність органічного виробництва як інструменту екологічної безпеки та сталого розвитку. Запропонований підхід може бути використаний у державній політиці та практиці управління.

ASSESSMENT OF THE CONTRIBUTION OF ORGANIC PRODUCTION TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

English abstract

The article examines the role of organic production as a key instrument for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The theoretical foundations of its relationship with the environmental, social, and economic components of sustainable development are substantiated. A review of contemporary scientific approaches to assessing the impact of organic production on SDG implementation is conducted, which reveals the need for integrated and quantitative evaluation methods capable of capturing its multidimensional effects. A methodological approach to the integral assessment of the contribution of organic production to the achievement of the SDGs is proposed. The approach is based on a system of indicators that reflect the most relevant goals for the agricultural sector and their aggregation into a single integral index. The assessment focuses on such SDGs as zero hunger, good health and well-being, clean water and sanitation, responsible consumption and production, climate action, and life on land. This enables a comprehensive evaluation of the ecological and socio-economic effects of organic production. The results show that the integral index of the contribution of organic production equals 2.83, indicating a high level of impact on achieving the SDGs. The most significant positive effects are observed in improving product quality, reducing environmental pressure, and preserving biodiversity. At the same time, a comparatively lower impact on climate-related goals highlights the need for further implementation of climate-oriented and low-carbon practices. It is concluded that organic production is an effective tool for ensuring environmental safety, rational use of natural resources, and enhancing the sustainability of the agricultural sector. The proposed approach can be applied in policy-making, management decision-making, and further research in the field of sustainable development.
